Selling your item can not be better.
Click the "my account" tab in the members area, then click the "manage account" sub-tab. Scroll down to the direct payment settings, then enter your Moneybookers Email Address, then click the update button at the bottom of the page. Now when you list auctions, select the "Moneybooker" option for direct payment settings.
You need to be sure to set up the callback url in Moneybooker, so Moneybooker automatically updates the payment status for auctions paid with direct pay. To do this you will need to log in to your Moneybooker account, click the "profile" link, then click the "instant payment notification" link. On this page you will need to turn this preference on, and include the below url as the Callback URL.
http://www.nilaami.in/pp_moneybookers.php
Your buyers will now be able to pay you directly through a moneybooker pay now button on the E-Auction site. This must be completed before listing items, and you must select moneybooker direct pay for each auction for this to work.
Yes you can import feed back from ebay and ebid at the moment.
As a seller, your Feedback rating is your life support system on any auction site. When a buyer is interested in making a purchase, most refer to a Sellers feedback to review their history. If you are new to our site, or have yet to establish a solid feedback history, you can import your Feedback Levels from other auction sites, to give you that added selling advantage. Its fast, free, and should be one of your top priorities.
To do this follow these steps:
Log onto your account, go to selling and click on Import feed back and follow the instructions. It is as simple.
There are various ways to get paid from your buyers. Please view our Acceptable Payments Policy to view which forms of payment are acceptable and which forms are not allowed on E-auction.
While listing an item, you would select which payment methods you will accept. You would then invoice your buyer after the sale... either from your selling page in the members area, or simply sending them an email. You would inform them of the total due and what forms of payment you accept.
If you select any of the online payment methods we have listed in our Acceptable Payments Policy, you will need to ensure that you first create an account with that company.
We are sorry but you can not pay your verification fees by sign up/seller credit amount. The credit amount is given to help you sell your items and open your store with Nilaami.
No we have not made verification mandatory, but it helps to get verified.
For sellers it brings more credibility and for buyers it helps that you are genuine and are interested in purchasing the item.
The most common form of online auction fraud is when a seller takes payment and then fails to deliver the promised item or the item is delivered but does not match the item description.
The buyer or seller is convinced by the counterparty that they, the counterparty, can be trusted - This is how 100% of all online auction Frauds or Scams operate
Wire Transfers overseas (especially Western Union) - seller insists that you pay by wire transfer and your payment is safe because money will not be released without a password or ID code. This is not true! If they insist on a wire transfer it is almost certainly a Scam!
Will only provide you with a mobile, pager or voice messaging system.
Landline number is always engaged or 'please leave a message'.
Hotmail account or another third-party email address.
High priced auctioned item from a member with zero feedback.
Offers to complete the sale before the auction has finished - contact telephone number or email in the text of the auction.
Requesting your banking details after the auction has closed and then setting up direct debits with your banking information. Always use a payment provider such as PPPay.com to avoid giving your banking information.
Makes an excuse why they cannot use the Escrow Payment facilities like moneybooker.
If you have any doubt or suspicions contact us before doing anything!
The best ways to be sure about your transaction are :
- Use sellers with good feedback and read the comments that others have left.
- Ask for phone numbers and speak to the seller.
- Use Moneybooker Escrow Payments
- Pick up and pay for the goods in person
If you receive an email that appears to be from Nilaami that requests sensitive personal information, be cautious. The email may be a "spoof" or "phishing" email. The people who send these fake emails hope that unsuspecting recipients will reply or click on a link contained in the email and then provide sensitive personal information such as passwords, your Mother's Maiden name, date or birth and debit and credit card information etc.
If you have any suspicions that you maybe the recipient of a 'spoof' or 'phishing' email do not click on any link in the email. The purpose of spoof email is to lead you to a Web site and attempt to collect personal information and commit identity theft or other crimes. Please contact support via the contact section immediately.
Spoof emails often include the use of the Nilaami logo and an Nilaami address in the "From" line (for example, "Message from Nilaami") The email may mimic common nilaami emails, such as notifications of problems with your account, Ask Seller a Question emails or offers to become an Nilaami Seller.
Secure debit and credit card encryption.
- All debit and credit card information entered is sent via secure encryption to our merchant providers.
- Nilaami does not keep or hold any of your card information on file. This is for additional and added security.
If you suspect that an unauthorized party has accessed or has attempted to access your Nilaami account, take the following actions:
-
First, check with family members and others who may use your account to verify that they did not make any changes.
-
Secondly, if no family members or associates have changed your Nilaami information please contact Nilaami support immediately with all relevant information.
-
Note: Sensitive debit and credit card information submitted to Nilaami is not stored at or on Nilaami servers and cannot be accessed through your Nilaami account. The most common way for an Nilaami account to be compromised is by replying to a 'spoof' or 'phishing' email (see above) designed to access members' passwords and other sensitive information. You should take steps to protect your identity if you provided information to a spoof Web site or replied to a spoofed email. This includes contacting Nilaami support through necessary channels. If you have given out sensitive information such as card or bank details you need to contact your card/bank provider immediately.
A Wanted is the opposite of the standard auction that most people understand, it is sometimes called a "Reverse Auction". Simply put, you start a Wanted stating what you want to purchase and how much you are willing to pay for it. Then sellers will bid for your business, with the lowest bid or "offer to sell" being the winner. After the Wanted finishes by running out of time or the buyer closing the Wanted early then the sale can be made in a similar fashion to a normal auction transaction.
